Apple iPhone 9 Might Come With Dual SIM Support
A special event is scheduled by Apple on 12th September in Cupertino, California. New hardware products like iPhones, iPads and the new Apple Watch will be launched by the company in this event. There are several rumors regarding these new devices.
One of them is that all these upcoming Apple devices will be coming in a new variant of gold. The Apple Watch Series 4 will come with an edge-to-edge display and also with a bigger screen size. Coming to the 2018 iPhones, the company is long rumored to launch three new iPhones.
The revolutionary iPhone X is rumored to get two successors, which are Apple iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Considering the earlier launched s-variants, the upcoming iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will be similar to original iPhone X in terms of display.
Both of these devices are expected to come with edge-to-edge OLED Notch display. The third device is expected to use an LCD Panel. According to recent rumors, the third and the cheaper iPhone will be named as iPhone 9. This device will be coming with a bezel-less LCD display. This device is also expected to be slightly less powerful than the other two smartphones.
Despite this, it will be the first ever Apple iPhone to come with dual SIM dual standby support. Recently, the leaked China Telecom’s teaser image also confirms the dual sim feature. It also has the dual 4G support. The leaked image displayed the dual SIM card slots. The slots are placed along with the power button on the right edge.
The dual Sim news was confirmed by an illustration posted by another Chinese telecom company China Mobile. The dual SIM iPhone is expected to be limited to a few Asian markets like China, India, and Indonesia. More details about the iPhones, iPads and the new Apple Watch are expected to be revealed soon.
