Google Home And Home Mini Launching In India Soon

Google, A name synonymous with search and the internet has another trick up its sleeve and that’s its smart speakers. For the unknown, Google has launched smart speakers of which the original one, the Google Home was launched in many markets outside India in November of 2016 with later Google releasing the Google Home Mini and Google home Max and now Google is all set to launch its smart speakers especially the Home and the Home Mini India . Google has sent an invitation letter stating that on the 10th April 2018 they are going to release something that is going to make us talk and talk. Earlier Reddington India, Google’s Indian reseller also reported that Google will be launching the Smart speakers in India during April of 2018.

The smart speakers have the Google assistant built-in and can help in day to day tasks. People can directly search for queries on the speakers just by asking the query and we also don’t require a phone that a person would usually use to search for answers or queries. It also has other commands like playing music and ordering a pizza online or booking a cab from supported apps. the Google Home has a removable base that can be changed with bases of other colours if you don’t like the one you bought. While the Google Home Mini comes in a plethora of colors with a fabric-like finish on the top.

The speakers have been launched against the Amazon Alexa powered Echo line up from Amazon that launched in India earlier in 2017. The Google home mini is going to compete with the Echo Dot whereas the Google home is going to compete against the Amazon Echo.

There is no word on pricing of the speakers from Google but in the USA the Google Home costs about Rs. 8400 ($129) the Home Mini is around Rs.3200 ($49). It has also not been confirmed whether the speakers will be an online-only product or will also be sold in offline stores but Reddington has said that Google wants to expand its hardware line up in India and may sell the product widely in offline stores.
