Huawei P20 Pro And P20 Lite Set To Launch In India On April 24th
Huawei had been missing from the picture for over a year and now it’s planning to make a big comeback by launching its most premium smartphone offering till date, the Huawei P20 Pro alongside the P20 lite. They were recently announced at a grand launch event held in Paris last month and now Huawei is gearing up for the launch of its new smartphones in India.

The company’s Indian website has posted a teaser for the P20 Pro, saying that it was coming soon. Now, the company has been sending media invites for an event in New Delhi on April 24, where it’s expected to launch the P20 Pro and the P20 Lite in India. The regular P20 is not expected to be launched in the country.
Expected Price Of Huawei P20 And P20 Pro
The starting cost of Huawei P20 is Euro 649 which when converted to rupees estimate to about Rs 52,000. On the other hand, the P20 pro costs about Euro 899 which on conversion to rupees will come to Rs 72,000 plus. The company is apt to stick to its premium pricing.
Huawei P20 And P20 Pro Specifications
The Huawei’s new models consist of metalcore and glass front and back. It inheres the highest build quality among its smartphone range. The Huawei P20 Pro features a 6.1-inch AMOLED display sporting an FHD+ resolution of 1080×2240 pixels with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The new smartphone range is waterproof and has the thickness of about 7.65 and 7.8 respectively. It has an uncanny resemblance to iPhone x and it comes in visually exhilarating colors Midnight Blue, Graphite Black, Pink Gold, and Twilight. The phones run on EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1. There is no headphone jack on the Huawei P20 smartphones.
The Huawei P20 Pro has a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor, and an 8MP sensor. The 8MP sensor is the telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 3X optical zoom and 5X hybrid zoom. Also, the 8MP sensor has OIS, which is missing on the other two camera sensors. In addition to it consists of six-axis stabilization and 960fps super-slow-motion video capability and the front camera is of 24MP.
The phone is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, it consists of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Backed by a 3,000mAh battery, the P20 Lite supports fast charging technology.
Now, all we have to see is how will these smartphones perform in the Indian market and what challenges will it deliver to the other already established contenders.
