Instagram Started Removing Fake Likes, Follows, And Comments From Accounts

Having the most number of likes, followers, on Instagram and often has become a matter of pride on social media. It has become a belief that the number of likes, followers, and comment on their account increases their status on social media and they go on adding great lengths of it as much as they can. For this, people even are buying likes, followers, and comment and nowadays there is a business booming out there.

But, the fact is that these are all fake. Now, Instagram has decided and announced that it will remove these fake likes, followers, and comments from the accounts. They will remove these fake likes, comments, and followers from the account of that person who uses a third-party app to appear popular by showing a large number of likes, comments, and followers on their account.

The Instagram will do so by making use of its machine learning tools that will help in identifying these fake accounts which use such services. The company will send these account holders who use these service to increase their popularity on Instagram, an in-app warning message from the Instagram for removal of all these fake likes, followers and comments. And, in addition to these, they will get the alert message to change their passwords for securing their accounts so that their account is safe from any unauthorized access by third-party apps and services and their login credentials will not be used by the third party services for likes, follows and comments.

Furthermore, if the password is changed by the account holders, then the third-party will have no longer access to these accounts.

Instagram in a release states about this latest update. Furthermore, these type of behavior by the third-party apps is bad for the community, and the third-party apps and services which do these types of services and generate inauthentic likes, follows, and comments violate our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. The Instagram further added to its post that this update will keep the Instagram a vibrant community where people connect and share in authentic ways.
