Intel’s 9th Generation Core Processor Expected To Launch On October 1st

The 9th Generation Intel Core processors set to launch on October. These processors are expected to deliver fantastic entertainment and gaming along with seamless 4K Ultra HD. According to Wccftech, the company is expected to launch first mainstream Intel’s Core i9-9900K desktop processor with more cores and faster clocks.

It is expected to have 8 cores and 16 threads. It will be based on existing 14nm architecture because the 10 nm Cannon Lake chips are delayed till 2019. The company is expected to bring the new Core i5, i7 and i9 unlocked SKU family. It is also expected to launch the Z390 series chips on 1st October. This will be marketed as Intel’s 9th generation family of processors.

Some details regarding these processors are revealed in leaked documents. According to documents the first mainstream Intel’s Core i9-9900K, the desktop processor will be featuring a 16MB of L3 cache along with UHD 620 graphics. It is expected to have 3.6 GHz base clock and also a 5.0 GHz boost clocks in single and dual core operations. The 4 core boost is rated at 4.8GHz. The 6 and 8 core boost is rated at 4.7GHz.

The newly launching 9th gen Core i7 processor is expected to have 8 cores and 8 threads. This chip will have 12 MB of L3 cache. The 9th gen Intel Core i5-9600Kis expected to boast of a 6 core and 6 threads along with 9 MB of L3 cache. It is almost similar to the Core i5-8600K but there are some noticeable differences between them like higher clock speeds of 3.7 GHz base, 4.6 GHz boost (1 core), 4.5 GHz (2 core), 4.4 GHz (4 core) and 4.3 GHz (6 core).

The company is expected to reportedly release the unlocked SKUs first. The SKU will be followed by the i5, i7, and i9 9th generation processors next year in Q1 of 2019. These upcoming 9th generation Intel processors might retain compatibility with the current 300-series motherboards along with the new Z390 platform.
