LG V30 Oreo Update

With release of LG V30+ in India early this month, the company is all set to release the newest version of Android in other markets. After beta testing the Oreo update for the LG V30 for nearly a month, and taking feedback from over 500 customers enrolled in the beta program, the company has now decided to give it a public launch.

The new Oreo update, according to the sources, will give a smoother experience to its LG V30 users. The company has been optimising the software lately. However, the Android 8.0 Oreo update will be available to the LG V30 users in South Korea.

The new update is about 1,412MB in size and is available via OTA update as well as LG Bridge software. The LG V30 users can either manually download the update or update their device from software update option. The update will soon be available to the other LG V30 users in other markets in coming weeks but, for now the update is limited to the LG V30 users in South Korea.

As said by Lee Sang-kyu of the LG Electronics Mobile Korea Group,” we will provide a differentiated user experience with stable and complete software”.

With this Android 8.0 Oreo update, the LG V30 will be improvised in some key areas like the performance, battery life and speed. Unlike other previous versions, it has also included the maximum aspect ratio of the screen by making it default instead 1.86:1 aspect ratio of the screen. The Android 8.0 Oreo update has also improved the boot time on the smartphones and has also brought the streamlined notification cards.

The new Oreo version is based on the LG’s own UX, which not only enhances the screen configuration but also other convenient features with graphics. The users can now experience watching videos in picture-in-picture (PIP) mode with apps turning into small screen when another app is running. The LDAC has also been enhanced by minimising the sound source loss.

Apart from Google, Sony and OnePlus, LG has also joined the league to release newest version of Android for its devices.

Recalling the LG V30+ is a variant of LG V30 which features a 6-inch P-OLED display and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone also support a dual rear camera setup with a 16 MP primary sensor and a 13 MP secondary sensor. The LG V30+ being a variant of LG V30 will also receive the new Android 8.0 Oreo update soon.
