Panasonic Launches Seekit Edge & Seekit Loop, A Bluetooth(R) Based IoT Solution

Panasonic, a leading diversified technology company, today announced the launch of an IoT based utility product Panasonic Seekit. Panasonic which is a leading diversified technology company is committed for building connected ecosystem launches and announced the Seekit, which is a portable and sleek Bluetooth(R) tracker which helps users to tag their valuables and connect them to Seekit smartphone app and can find them without any hassle. The Panasonic Seekit will be available at a price of INR1599 and INR1299 for its two variants Seekit Edge and Seekit Loop respectively on the various e-commerce platforms from December 1st week.

The new Seekit by the Panasonic India innovation Centre features the Separation Indicator, Proximity Guidance, Last Seen Location, Bi-directional Tracking, and Voice Alerts along with the High Alert Mode for tracking; Low Alert Mode to avoid unnecessary alerts. The Seekit in addition to this also features the power of harnessing Bluetooth(R) 5 and better battery utilization which can last for about 12-18 months without charging depending on its variant and usage.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Manish Sharma, President and CEO Panasonic India, and South Asia said,

Seekit is a result of extensive research of consumer behavior, where the solution uses IoT to safeguard valuables through our smartphone app while harnessing the power of Bluetooth(R).”




Features And Design

Seekit features the Separation Indicator which alerts the users as soon as the value is disconnected, which alerts the users that their valueable has been left behind. It can also be customized in the user’s own voice. Along with this, the device also features a Bi-directional tracking feature which helps you to tag their belonging and can find your phone too by just double pressing the button on the tracker. It also features the Proximity Guidance which guides you to towards your valuable. The device will Buzz and Glow which reminds you about your valuable.

By using the Last Seen location from the Seekit App you can check the device status. By using the Crowd GPS technology, the Seekit Community of app users can trace their valuable. And when you thrice click the button of Seekit one can send an SOS alert to 3 contacts with your GPS Location. Seekit device sports a Selfie button which makes it easier for perfect angle click.

Seekit comes along with the portable ergonomic design as it comes with enabled IP65 for protection of the device from rain and fit seamlessly in the lives of the customers.

Battery & Connectivity

The device comes along with the Bluetooth(R) 5 which provides the connectivity range up to 100 ft. linear distance under test conditions. Bluetooth(R) 5 allows communication with a lower battery consumption, thus elongating the battery life and the fact that Seekit comes with a coin cell battery eliminates the hassle of daily charging.
