Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) With Four Rear Cameras Launched

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has been launched today by at a launch event in it’s “4X fun” galaxy in Kuala Lumpur today. The brand new smartphone, Galaxy A9 main highlight is it’s quad rear camera set up at the back.

Galaxy A9 2018 will be the world’s first smartphone containing four separate cameras at the back. The smartphone succeeds its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy A9 in features that were launched back in the year 2015.

The next exciting feature of this smartphone is its Infinite Display, with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio. This device will be available in Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black, and Lemonade Blue color options. Galaxy A9 (2018) will be made available from November and its price will start from EUR 599 (roughly Rs.51,300) and GBP 549 (roughly Rs.53,700).

Galaxy A9 Features & Specifications

The smartphone features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080*2220 pixels) Infinity Display with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio and Super AMOLED panel. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC.

It is also coupled with four cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The device has dual-SIM (nano) setup. The device has the features of Face Unlock Technology, apart from Bixby assistant and Samsung Pay. Galaxy A9 is also equipped with fingerprint-sensor on its rear. The device is powered by the 3800 mAh battery backup along with fast charging.

In terms of camera, the device sports four rear cameras set up at it’s back. The device is equipped with a 24-Megapixel primary camera featuring a f/1.7 aperture, a 10-Megapixel telephoto camera featuring 2x optical zoom and a f/2.4 aperture, an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree lens and f/2.4 aperture, and finally, a 5-Megapixel depth camera with a f/2.2 aperture. When there is a condition of low-light, the main camera uses pixel binning to combine 4 pixels into a single one. The device also features a 24-Megapixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture on its front.

The smartphone is available in 6GB and 8GB of RAM variants and has an internal storage of 128GB. It also contains the slot for a MicroSD card which is used to expand the memory of the device up to 512GB. The other connectivity of the device includes options such as 4G VOLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac(dual-band, 2.4 GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
