A Weibo post has revealed the features and specifications of MI 8 youth by Xiaomi yesterday. The company has officially confirmed some details along with the launch date and pricing of the phone. The base variant of this device will be sold at a price of 1999 Yuan which is approx. $290 or Rs. 20,999 in China.
The company sold its first ever smartphone Xiaomi Mi 1 in2011 for 1999 Yuan. With Mi 8 youth Xiaomi seems to sell the best ‘value for money’ smartphone with the same price tag. This device will be launched on September 19th in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in China. In this year, the company launched the Mi 8 Explorer Edition with an in-display fingerprint sensor on Vivo smartphones. Now, the other smartphone vendors have also started adopting this new technology.
Mi 8 Youth Expected Features & Specifications
Though the upcoming OnePlus 6T is also confirmed to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor, the base variant of the Mi 8 Youth sports a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. According to information revealed by the weibo Post, the high-end variant of Mi 8 Youth is expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Talking about the other specifications this device will sport a 6.26-inch notch display with Full HD+ resolution. This device is backed by 3,250 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge technology.
Most of the specifications of this device are quite similar to what the company has offered with the Mi 8 SE. The company launched the Mi 8 SE along with the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The Mi 8 Youth is expected to come in two different storage variants according to the post on Weibo. The pricing of variants of this device starts from 1799 Yuan.
